CNN is giddy about the leak of the Trump tapes which they say shows Trump arranging a payoff to a mistress. While it doesn't make Trump look like a good husband, it sure feels like a big bag of nothing to do with his presidency. We'll see as the tapes keep rolling out in coming days. And I wonder - is Giuliani a fox in the Trump henhouse?

Americans are once again being marched to war. While we keep trying to elect Presidents who promise to get us OUT of the Middle East and other costly and tragic wars, once the President is in, we find they are just as militaristic as the last ones. Trump campaigned on getting us OUT of the mess of the Middle East, but his latest tweet threatening Iran sounds a lot like we are readying to embark on another unnecessary and costly conflict. Will we ever learn? Or are wars always OK because to speak against them might make your favorite President look bad??

The entire media complex universally condemned President Trump for his meeting with Putin in Helsinki. They brought on talking heads from the right and the left to try to convince the American people that it made Trump "weak" to seek a positive relationship with Russia. This across the board effort - even on Fox News - should wake the people up to the power of the American War Machine and it's profiteers. War, conflict, sanctions and instability is GOOD BUSINESS for those who profit from it. They want this to continue and they are desperately afraid that Donald Trump is going to upset the applecart and the flow of money and power they have had for far too long.
